Dr. Asogwa emerges WPP Director

As double feathers to her cap, Amb.Dr Stella Rita Asogwa has been appointed Director, Diplomatic Relations and Women Affairs at the World Peace Programme for Sustainable Development Network WPP by the World Peace Organisation, Nigeria.

This is coming barely a month after her unveiling and inauguration as SPECIAL ADVISER on peace matters to the Federal Government of Nigeria by same organization.

The World Peace Organisation is a non-profit and interventionist initiative focusing primarily among other objectives on actively promoting and facilitating peaceful conflict resolution through dialogue, mediation, and negotiation between individuals, communities, or nations facing conflicts.

With her appointment as Director Diplomatic Relations and Women Affairs, Dr Asogwa will lead the regional and cross-country initiatives of the WPO, Nigeria to broker peace in conflict zones.

She is also expected to develop a blueprint as well as an action plan to actualize one of the cardinal objectives of the WPO Nigeria which is to empower women and youth by providing education, training, and resources, thereby enabling them to become agents of peace and positive change in their communities.

Revealing the rationale behind her elevation, the organization has said it was in recognition of her invaluable contributions to peace building and women empowerment in Nigeria through her numerous humanitarian initiatives. Amb. Dr Stella Rita Nwachukwu Awelle Asogwa is the CEO Zarita couture and founder Stellarita Asogwa foundation. She is an outstanding philanthropist and winner of a plethora of meritorious awards.
